WCC Artist in Residence Workshop:June 18 & 19th with Artist Roberley Bell

Walking as Learning to See: workshops with artist Roberley Bell this weekend

The Westport Cultural Council (WCC) and Westport Land Conservation Trust (WLCT) are pleased to present Walking As Learning to See this Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June 19th with Westport Artist in Residence: Roberley Bell. This is the first of three summer Artists in Residence Program Workshops.

Walking As Learning to See heightens our awareness of seeing with all our senses. The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with a method for learning to see the world around them through their senses. What does the place sound like, smell like, taste like? How do you know where you are? Vision is our primary sense. How do we dive deeper into seeing?

You are invited to participate in Roberley’s workshops on June 18th and 19th from 10 AM to noon at Westport Woods Conservation Park (573 Adamsville Road). The workshop on the 19th is oriented towards families, the workshop on the 18th towards adults. Space is limited. To register for Walking as Learning to See this weekend please sign up below.

Roberley’s closing talk will take place on Thursday, June 24th at 6 PM at the DeDee Shattuck Gallery at 1 Partners’ Lane.
